June 2021, ‘Lost Worl(l)ds’ participated in the Wildlife Trust’s #30DaysWild programme, through the development of our own version – #30DaysWildMultilingual. The aim of #30DaysWildMultilingual is to encourage children to get outdoors, observe and engage with the natural world BUT to make it multilingual by incorporating existing, or learning new language skills.
#30DaysWildMultilingual can be undertaken during any 30 day period, it doesn’t have to be on consecutive days, you could focus on one activity per week or month. The accompanying activity sheet can be accessed here if you want to follow the 30 day programme.
You don’t have to commit to 30 days – you can select any of the activities from the images below and use it as a ‘one off’ stimulus activity, to either inspire children to get outdoors in nature OR have a discussion in the classroom / home / youth group. The most important part of this activity is to make it your own and have FUN!
